Finally. It’s been a year since I’ve last drifted. This weekend tho, the fine people of Motoring J-Style invited us to be a part of the event. Last year I, along side Alex Pfeiffer, judged the drift demo and again I’ll be out there judging. We’ll be out there on Friday setting up the course and helping perfect it throughout the day. Should be a good event.
I was recently asked to come up with a logo for a new venture called speedhunters from a good friend of mines, Antonio. He’s helping lead the charge on it and asked if I was available to do something on the side. I haven’t taken on any side projects lately because of the size of the project I’ve been working on but knowing it was a logo project, it would only be a few hours of my time…
The project is about finding the best cars across the globe and telling stories about them on a website. The project launches in a few days and lots of great people are behind this one. Should be good although the name reminds me of the late great Crocodile Hunter. Nevertheless, the name is the name and here’s a few logos I created while coming up with a design that felt good inside.
Dam, getting off the plane this morning we were greeted with some HEAT. 102 degrees. So what did we do? Stay inside until the sun dropped. Tomorrow I hear should be hot again.. hopefully not like this weather.
Photo from the BMX Nike 6.0 Event in Beijing. I’m such a Huge BMX enthusiast and fan.
This place was far from the Hotel but definitely a place we wanted to visit. Phil and I jumped on the bus to document it. On the bus, Nike 6.0 and the Nike’s Brand Guests. The wall is HUGE. Imagine a wall that spans from SF to NY. That’s how long this thing is. CRAZY.
Boy, today was crazy. There was an earthquake that hit China today and we felt it all the way in Beijing. It was 7.8 on the Richter Scale. That means it was freekin HUGE. We were swaying for about 40 seconds. I thought something was wrong with my equilibrium but when I looked up and saw all the lights swaying. HUGE.
Anyways, we’re off to Day 1 for Nike Guests to see what they’re here for… Just so you know, I will not be showing off any photos of the event until tomorrow. The will be on the main page of the site as well as many blogs and news sites around the globe.

Nike 100 at Space 706. 1 word. Awesome. Photos later of this.
So to welcome all of Nike’s guest (influencers, actors, artists), Nike threw a dinner at the infamous Lam Club. Honestly, I’ve never been to a bigger venue in my life. It’s like the ground floor of the Wynn Hotel in Vegas but no gambling. Huge.
A speech from the creative mind of Richard Clark.
Mmm. Food. Pumpkin soup? Lamb Chop.. There was about 8 -10 dishes. Crazy..
Our table consisted of Parkes (Nike), Aaron Rose (Beautiful Losers), Paul (Stussy), Clark (Nike), Phillip, and the infamous Eddy (undftd). Good conversations throughout..
Paul, Richard, and Aaron. The food was mesmerizing..
So the ride to Beijing wasn’t exactly smooth sailing. Our friends who were suppost to connect from NYC were stuck in the tarmac for 55 minutes waiting for an open spot to depart. This made them miss our flight so we hopefully will be seeing them soon. I have to say, the landing on the plane was horrible. Some lady a few rows back threw up and got out of her seat and headed for the bathroom 15 seconds before touchdown. I eneded up getting stopped by immigration for giving one dude the evil eye.. No eye contact and you’ll sail smoothly!
I am on an adventure to Beijing and taking Phillip along with me. For work of course so I can’t release too many details but you’ll all see what’s going to be going down in a few days.. PLEASE STAY TUNED. It’s going to be AWESOME.

I love great design in cars, architecture, and graphics. I love my serato only because I don't like carrying my records anymore. I Heart Fatlace and now am working for Nike Global.
