Best birthday I ever had

My past birthday’s were not so great, personal issues and the fact that my birthday falls on the day after rent gets paid. I get down on myself every year reminding myself of the bad times I had every year on this occasion. But this year was different, I was surrounded by people I love the most and I really had a good weekend and the best birthday up to date.

I had a little pre-celebration on Thursday at Wasabi, where I spin, I just wanna say thanks to all of those who came out! Check out the photos at myspace.com/tastythursdayslbc

Saturday was the night of Boombox (Grand Star Jazz Club) and my good friends over at More Fire/Critical Beatdown took over the night bringing J.Rocc and Pacific Division out for a good ol’ time (Peep the coverage over at ek5obition.com).
The lovely ladies of the Nordstrom Infants department (Cerritos) wanted to partake in the celebration of my birth…it was a drunken mess.

Later on that evening we had a late dinner at my favorite Chinatown spot…Full House.

The ever so sweet Candizzle (Nordstrom) along side with Momo (Heavy Peddle).

Baby cakes, Sherry F. Baby (Nordstrom) was lookin’ lovely as usual.

I forgot what I said here, I guess I said something funny. I’m her little hood “thang”

Killed it.

Sunday, I took Tomasu (SK858/Fatlace) and Momo with me to Puma (Santa Monica) to cover DSTRUKT’s day, who is off on tour…lucky bastard.

I love LA traffic, don’t you?

Classic black and white, back seat self shot.

Momo (Heavy Peddle) getting down.

Famima! is next door to Puma, took a little snack break. Calpico is a really tasty drink, here’s their collab with Hello Kitty. Mad adorable b’

This is my favorite one, kinda looks like shes doin’ a one wheel nose manual.

There’s a deli next to Active that you shouldn’t eat at.

The lemonade is weak sauce, but the Morning Breath/UP hat isn’t. Thanks Fitted Hawaii.

GREAT WEEKEND!!! Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes! Bring it on 26.

Late night eats w/ good friends

After a hard nights work at Tasty Thursdays @ Wasabi Ultralounge…

Giselle was running a little late, she showed up after the club was over…
We need more girls like her in this world because she speaks the truth and shes not afraid to tell a bitch off, of course if the bitch isn’t in her right place.

A lady friend and Momo, Momo is sporting a Puma sweater from the illustrious Volvo Boating line.

Thanks Puma.

Don’t forget about tonight…

Giveaways from Jason Markk Premium Shoe Cleaner (Big ups to Erth1 & Jason)
Here’s your chance to try out JM if you haven’t already.

Of course, pick it up at Fatlace SF.

It’s Great

There’s a Thai restaurant across the street, that isn’t bad.
Grabbed some lunch and you know that feeling you get when you aren’t really craving for anything but you wanna eat?
I figure, fuck it, go with the chicken…you’ll never lose.

10A. Fried Chicken.
Description: It’s great

FIFTY24LA presents Patrick Martinez & Munk One

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Monday July 21st, I parted ways with Class System.

Class System started off with 2 partners with a vision, to supply Long Beach and the greater Los Angeles county with premium goods, to teach the youth of the same visions we share with the brands we stock.

We got the ball rolling, I designed the logo, brought in the brands that I believed that made a positive outlook on the future of this industry, original partner/owner, Christian Cabreza sorted out plans for the store’s layout and sound design.

Within a month, the shop opened it’s doors on March 3rd of 2008, with a strong opening and a strong support by close associates and friends, the shop was called the next best thing in Long Beach.

Surrounded by harsh times, with the economy coming to a difficult stage, the shop reached a vantage point. A decision needed to be made, sign over the business to another partner or find an investor.
Class System’s original owner, Chris Cabreza found an investor by the name of Sophy Kea, 2 of the same, Sophy came aboard Class System to assist the new retail venture in these harsh times.

From investing, Sophy became the new owner of Class System. Our original team was gone and the shop started from scratch again.

There were things that I didn’t agree with but I tried working with it, going along with the game plan.
2 months have passed and no progress was made with the store. Things that were promised to me as a designer/buyer/marketing/art director were not met.

First I left my position as art director also leaving my responsibilities as part of marketing to focus on other projects at the time, giving Class System one last push. Unfortunetly, the push has come to an end.

At this time I strongly feel that it is right to part ways and move on. Leaving as a buyer, I am responsible for getting brands into the store that I believe make an impact in this industry and catch the eye of the consumer and that is all.

I believe that the store can move on without me and that with the right decisions, Class System can remain the next best thing in the city of Long Beach and the greater Los Angeles area.

Any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at justpudge@gmail.com

Other than that, I am currently working on other projects and I will keep you all updated through the pages of this blog that is provided by the family of Fatlace.

I would like to thank everyone that has helped out the shop along the way; my family, the Cabreza family, the Lao family, the Fatlace family, Jerry Meng & Arnold of Greyone, Muggs & Mils of Soul Assassins, Vic & JP of ID Agency, Erok/Dennis/Tung of ek50bition, Patrick Martinez of Visionlab, Erth1, the fam over at Cest La Vie, Jason Markk, Stones Throw, Stacks, everyone at Up Above Records, Digital X,  Dominic of Royal Revelation, Freegold Watch, Flo/Nick Timms of Univ & Coup De Grace, Mickey Darius of Upper Playground, Franco of Boxfresh USA, J.Kim of Agenda, everyone at Under the Table Crew, Prince of Acrylik, everyone at Critical Beatdown, Dennis of Natural Selection, RIF LA, Eric/Jason/Steve of Archrival, the Shark, Mikey Yayo, the Dope Peddlers family & to everyone else I didn’t mention…

Thank you for all the love and support you have given me throughout my time at Class System, I hope to work with all of you again in the near future.

Cheers,
Chris Aguilar (Pudge)
